Matt Cardona is welcoming anyone to the Gauntler of Survival.
GCW will crown a new GCW World Champion on Sunday at GCW Cage of Survival in a Gauntlet of Survival match. GCW General Manager stripped Blake Christian of the title as Christian is currently in Japan competing in NJPW Best of Super Juniors, and will miss his scheduled defense against Joey Janela.
Appearing on In The Weeds with Jeremy Lambert and SP3, the GCW GM was asked about the possibility of GCW obtaining the services of Becky Lynch or Chad Gable.
"I would love to have Becky Lynch in GCW. Chad Gable in GCW. Oh my God. Unbelievable. Could we afford them? Probably not. They'd have to lower their rate just a little bit. The fantasy booking of what we could do there? SDL [Steph De Lander] vs. Becky Lynch. Chad Gable against Blake Christian or Joey Janela. If their contracts expire before Sunday, if Chad wants to lower his rate, he can be in the gauntlet. Becky can enter the gauntlet. Anyone could enter the gauntlet. They'd have to lower their rate a lot. We don't have that TKO money. We don't have that TK money, either. We do what we can," said Cardona.
Lynch is officially a free agent as of June 1, while Gable's contract reportedly expires in the coming weeks.
GCW Cage of Survival takes place on Sunday, June 2.
