John Morrison has been released by WWE.
On Thursday, November 18, Morrison was among a number of Superstars released by WWE. This comes exactly two weeks from the day that the company released 18 other performers. In an internal e-mail, WWE head of talent relations John Laurinaitis cited budget cuts as the reason.
Fightful has learned that WWE have released John Morrison, Top Dolla, Ashante Adonis, Isaiah Swerve Scott, Tegan Nox, Drake Maverick, Shane Thorne, and Jaxson Ryker.

After leaving WWE in 2011, Morrison made his return to the company in January 2020. He would immediately align with The Miz and within a month the pair won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. They would hold the belts for two months.
Over the next year, Morrison and Miz would continue to team, developing a rivalry with Damian Priest. They would face the now-United States Champion and Bad Bunny in a tag team match at WrestleMania 37.
As of late, Morrison had separated from Miz and was tapping into his chi.
Fightful will continue to monitor the story and report any and all updates.
