Lady Frost: I'm Still A Free Agent, There Have Been Conversations Everywhere

Lady Frost discusses her free agency and her work with CMLL.

Lady Frost signed with IMPACT Wrestling in 2021, but she later requested her release for a variety of reasons. Fightful Select previously reported that Lady Frost obtained her release in October. A subsequent report noted that multiple companies are interested in her, and CMLL offered her a contract.

Speaking with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Lady Frost commented on her contract status by confirming that she was still a free agent at the time of the interview. She stated that she'll see what happens with CMLL, as she toured with them. Overall, she made it clear that she's enjoying the freedom.

"Yes. I’m still a free agent. We’ll see what happens [with CMLL]. I’m there in two weeks. I have another tour, three shows in five days, not quite as long. I’m just enjoying the freedom a little," Lady Frost said.

She went on to describe how she was in a "rough spot" before she landed with CMLL. Lady Frost recalled how another wrestler reached out and told her the company wanted her to represent the United States. She noted that her work with CMLL has reignited her passion for wrestling, and she fits right in with the company's style.

"I was in a rough spot for a little bit, I’m not going to lie. I was just disheartened. But I did get a call from another wrestler. I don’t know if I should say who, but she had done work in CMLL and said, ‘Hey, they want you to represent the United States.’ I’m like, ‘Little ol’ me?’ I felt like a nobody. I think it really helps with rejuvenating my passion for wrestling and it’s very much my lane. It’s fast paced, athletic, crazy spots. I fit right in," she said.

Lady Frost also highlighted how the elevation affected her during her match, as she struggled to breathe. She recalled how she got blown up shortly after the match started because the air is different there, which is an underappreciated aspect of wrestling for the company. She went on to describe how she wasn't sure she'd last for the duration of the match, but she persevered.

"Yeah. I didn’t know what to expect. The elevation was crazy, I was blown up in, like, thirty seconds. I’m like, ‘How am I going to last?’ People don’t know that. The air is different there. So you’re just standing there and I’m like, ‘I can’t breathe. The Gran Prix, I think, we went fifty two minutes or something and I went to the finals. I was like, ‘I don’t know how I’m going to last,’ but made it to the end, which is pretty crazy. I think Arena Mexico is like, you’re pulling from deep, but there’s 13,000 / 14,000 people. It made it easier to last," Lady Frost said.

When asked whether she intends to work for CMLL long term, she responded by saying, "I don’t know. I can visit for weeks at a time."

Lady Frost then emphasized that she's having conversations everywhere. For now, she's focused on doing her thing and raise her stock as a performer. She stated that, for now, her contact with other companies is in the "just talking" stage, and she wants to prove that wrestling matters first and foremost as her free agency continues. She also joked that even ECW reached out to her.

"There have been conversations everywhere, I will just say that. There are conversations happening, but I’m just trying to do my thing, raise my stock, prove that wrestling matters. I want that to come first. So, that’s it. We’re just talking. ECW reached out, you know," Lady Frost said.
