While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Santana talked about how his personal plan is going good and paying off.

"Overall, it’s been a special time. So much has gone on. I’m excited. I’m happy. I’m thankful. Before I came back into wrestling, I had formulated my own little plan, and thankfully, up to this point, that plan is paying off and it’s going good. I’m super thankful to be back in TNA and it’s been a great time so far. That Immersed documentary, that was me putting my everything (into it). When I started my whole new journey and putting myself out there, I was like, ‘I’m going to do it my way and show that this is my story and this is why I’m doing what I’m doing. There is a purpose behind everything. I’m excited."

Santana went on to go into detail about his return to the promotion, noting that they were the first people to call him after he left AEW.

"I’ve always kept an open line of communication with a lot of guys there. I’ve had a good relationship with everyone there for a long time. I would always check in, see how things are going. I’ve always been one that I like to keep my ear to the ground. I would always check the product and did my homework. I’m good friends with a lot of guys there. I would check in from time to time. When everything went down with AEW, they were the first ones to call. I was so thankful for that. Both sides were waiting for the moment to be able to work together again, and finally everything was falling into place. I knew that this is where I needed to be. I’m excited for what the future holds. All the talks went well and it was easy. One thing I can always say is that I’ve always kept it real and been honest with whoever, no matter where I’ve worked. That’s what you’re always going to get from me. I was very open and upfront with them. Thankfully, we had the same mindset and same path and views. Everything worked out perfectly."

Santana went on to also praise the new regime in the company, noting that they are very open and straight forward.

"It’s going great. Everyone I spoke to before coming back, it was people that have known me. I was familiar with a couple of people there. Overall, all the talks went really well. Meeting new people has never been an issue for me. I’m going to be me and this is what you’re going to get. Thankfully, they understood that and welcomed that. It’s been great dealing with them, and they are very open and straightforward. I told them in the beginning, ‘All I ever ask is for you to keep it real with me. Don’t bullshit me. I will never bullshit you.’ Thankfully, we’re on the same page."
