Mina Shirakawa says she has to become the champion.
STARDOM star Mina Shirakawa reunited with her former tag team partner Mariah May on the April 11 episode of AWEW Dynamite, as she saved May from Anna Jay. Shirakawa's arrival has complicated May's relationship with AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm, so much so that Storm challenged Mina to face her at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Tensions between the two stars have continued to rise ever since.
Speaking with Righteous Reg and Phil Lindsey on the Grapsody Podcast, Mina Shirakawa was asked about her match against Toni Storm.
"I have loved American culture since I was a child. I love Beyonce. I want to test myself to see how well I could do in the entertainment country because I feel that America is the best entertainment country. I will test myself. I’m very happy that my dreams have come true. I have to become champion and show myself more and more to American wrestling fans. I’m excited. A little nervous. Many feelings," Shirakawa said.
Shirakawa is one-third of the reigning Artist of STARDOM Champions. She and May previously held the Goddesses of Stardom Championship.
