Missa Kate Reflects On Teaming With Madi Wrenkowski (Wren Sinclair), 'We Had A Lot Of Fun'

Missa Kate talks winning the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championships.

Kate and her former partner, Madi Wrenkowski, held the belts for nearly 200 days in 2023 before dropping them to Pretty Empowered (Ella Envy & Kylie Paige) at NWA 75 in August of that year. Only months later, Wrenkowski would sign with WWE, where she now goes by the name of Wren Sinclair.

While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Missa Kate recalled winning the belts with Wrenkowski, noting that the decision caught them off guard.

"We were very caught off guard. It was at a set of tapings and it was something where we thought maybe it was gonna be a little bit of a story, we’re gonna chase the titles and they were like, ‘So, you guys are winning tonight.’ We were like, ‘What? Are you sure? Us?’ It was really cool, and we did, and it was really exciting. Yeah, we had a lot of fun. Now Wren Sinclair, but formerly Madi Wrenkowski. We had a lot of fun and I miss her a lot, but I’m very happy for her, seeing what she’s doing right now."

Kate then went on to talk about how her and Wrenkowski came up with a few ideas, but they weren't able to use them.

"I know I keep saying it, I keep being repetitive. But just looking back at that time, the ideas her and I were coming up with. Unfortunately we weren’t able to move forward with all the ideas that we had, but the little promos that we did, the t-shirt that we had, it was short lived. But I was like, ‘Maybe it’s meant for the future, who knows?’ A little tease for the future."
