Big Swole made news last week, when she announced that she'd be leaving AEW.
To clarify a misconception, we're told the deal wasn't ended prematurely, and those within AEW have stated that her deal was up at the end of November, and the contract simply expired. Swole had a couple of absences in 2021 that sidelined her from the ring, and hadn't wrestled since September. Her battles with Crohn's Disease were well documented, and Fightful was told she also wasn't at many of the recent tapings.
Those that we spoke to within the company didn't note any extensive heat or any reason that the situation would have ended on bad terms. It was noted by Wade Keller that AEW has a wave of contracts expiring in the coming months, which we're working to learn more about.
