Mr. Thomas believes there is more story to explore with AJ Francis.
Throughout 2024, AJ Francis spent a large chunk time feuding with the Bomaye Fight Club in MLW. Francis would end up losing the feud, falling to Alex Kane in a Ritual Combat match at the Battle Riot event in June.
While chatting with Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl of Fightful Overbooked's In The Weeds podcast for a new interview, Thomas talked about the group's feud with Francis, joking that Alex Kane sent Francis packing to Orlando after the Ritual Combat match.
"I’m glad he came. I’m glad he popped up and stayed for the proper amount of time. We live in a world where you can’t be on every show. You can’t be in MLW, TNA, and appear the next week. He got locked into a deal somewhere else a couple of months later. I think there is more meat on that bone to tell that story. He came in, tried to drive a wedge between Bomaye Fight Club, which will never happen. Tried to start some shit. It all worked out. He went home. Got suplexed on his head and sent packing to Orlando to spend his NFL money or whatever he does during the week. Here today, gone tomorrow."
Elsewhere in the interview, Thomas recalled participating in a WWE tryout back in 2018. Check out his full comments on the matter by clicking here.
