Nikki Cross speaks on her love of education and future hopes of obtaining her Ph.D.
Pro wrestlers today have interests outside of the ring. Nikki Cross, for example, is currently writing her dissertation and obtaining a history degree.
Nikki spoke about her love of education with Fightful's Joel Pearl ahead of the WWE Elimination Chamber event in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Nikki tells Joel she was editing her dissertation while flying in for the Premium Live Event that aired on February 18, 2023.
"For me, I’m actually three months away from my dissertation deadline. So my thesis is due May 1. So wish me luck. Good vibes, please," she said. "Right now, I’m in the middle of my dissertation. I was actually editing it last night while I’m flying in. I’ll be doing it after the show tonight, the pay-per-view tomorrow. For me, I love learning. I genuinely love learning. For me, I think about the future and maybe thirty years from now and maybe what I want to do thirty years from now. But for me, as of now, I just love learning. I think it’s really important to learn. My degrees are in history. So for me, it’s really important to know the past. For me, it’s exciting in a completely different way. I’m really enjoying it. I’m looking forward to May 1. I’m gonna make my husband take me on a nice vacation, then maybe let’s go after a Ph.D. Ph.D. Nikki? Nikki Ph.D.?"
After she completes her dissertation, Nikki is hoping her husband, Big Damo (Killian Dain), will take her on vacation, and she's got her fingers crossed that Maui is in her future.
"Okay, so I went to Hawaii for the first time last year and fell in love with it. We went to where they filmed Jurassic Park. So I really want to go to Maui. Maui would be fun. Or even the Bahamas. I’m from Scotland, my husband’s from Ireland. So cold weather. Montreal, the cold weather. I’m spoiled now. I need sunshine. You can’t tell. SPF 100. But I do love the warm weather. I love the sunshine. Let’s just manifest Maui," she said.
Nikki Cross currently competes on the WWE Raw roster and has told Candice LeRae that she feels lonely and misses her friends.
Speaking of her friends, Nikki recently said SAnitY was her favorite time in her WWE career. Fans can read more about that here.
