Sean Waltman is not sour about Bullet Club adopting 'Too Sweet.'
Speaking with Fightful (full interview above), the former nWo member discussed a number of topics, including comparisons between the iconic WCW faction and NJPW's Bullet Club. The group, which was formed in 2013, also famously uses the 'Too Sweet' hand gesture.
"When all that stuff started getting big, I thought it was great. Some of my friends have had various opinions and their opinions have changed at times, but I think overall we’re flattered by it and it’s great. It’s not taking any money out of my pocket, somebody else doing [the Two Sweet sign] and making a buck, you know?," Waltman said.
Switchblade Jay White has breathed new life into the faction since unveiling the rebranded Bullet Club Gold in AEW. With Juice Robinson and The Gunns by his side, White has positioned himself for an AEW World Title Match at AEW Full Gear.
Another group that played off of the nWo's success was the Blue World Order. The faction which included the likes of Blue Meanie, Stevie Richards, and Nova received a similarly positive rection from Waltman who thought they were funny.
"You can have a couple different reactions to something like that. I just thought it was funny, you know? I thought it was cool... If somebody’s parodying you, then you’ve done something worthwhile.
So I liked it. I thought it was funny," he said.
Finally, he commented on the latest incarnation of the Latino World Order, saying that it's better than ever before.
"Let’s be honest, better than ever, right? It’s pushed and treated seriously. LWO, I thought they jabroni’d it in WCW. I thought they jabroned LWO down there compared to how they’re presenting it in WWE right now," he said.
The current LWO consists of Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, Zelina Vega, and United States Champion Rey Mysterio.
A two-time Hall of Famer, Waltman says that he is proud of the mark nWo and DX have left on society, respectively.
"Both of the groups I’m famous for being in left a mark like that. People are still wearing nWo shirts and people are still telling people to suck it. I’m very proud of my contribution to society," he said.
