Tommaso Ciampa On NXT 2.0: We Made The Best Of What Was Put In Front Of Us

Tommaso Ciampa reflects on NXT 2.0.

Hangman Page Is Thankful For Nothing

Ciampa was a big part of the NXT 2.0 era, as he held the NXT Championship for months until he dropped it to Bron Breakker at New Year's Evil 2022. Before the title loss, Ciampa also competed in a WarGames match that pitted Team Black And Gold (Johnny Gargano, LA Knight, Pete Dunne & Tommaso Ciampa) against Team 2.0 (Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Grayson Waller & Tony D'Angelo).

While chatting with Fightful for a new interview, Ciampa said that he had to make the best of the NXT 2.0 era.

"During it, it was very much make the best of what’s put in front of you. I have a little one at home and a family I think of first and foremost. It was just, ‘Okay, this is what’s being presented.’ A lot of my friends were leaving. Things were changing and it was just, ‘Make the best of it.’ Bless Bron Breakker for making it as fun as it possibly could have been towards the end of it. It was some fun stuff. I finally got to do God of War. There are some fond memories I have of 2.0. It was a fun time for me. But to watch them now filling a 13,000 seater? That feels real good, man."

Elsewhere in the interview, Ciampa talked about his reunion with Johnny Gargano. Learn more here.
