Will Kaven reflects on his bouts with Michael Oku.
While Kaven is one of the younger members of the RevPro roster at 24 years old, he still has several years of experience under his belt within the promotion. In that time, he has crossed paths with current Undisputed British Heavyweight Champin Michael Oku on several occasions.
While speaking to Fightful's Corey Brennan in a recent interview, Kaven discussed his time in the ring with Oku, noting he is the best wrestler he has shared the ring with.
"I think I'll have to put on a little bit of weight for that first. Although, I think I'm probably about the same size as Mike, maybe a little bit bigger, so... maybe that's okay. Mike is absolutely incredible. He's undoubtedly, I think, the best wrestler I've ever been in the ring with. I've been fortunate to share the ring with him probably five or six times, maybe a bit more than that, I'm not sure. He was the guy who had my first few matches that I was really, really proud of. He brought me into Rev Pro he was the first match I had as a part of the main Rev Pro roster. Just before that, he defended the Undisputed British Cruiserweight Championship against me at one of the RevPro Contender shows in Portsmouth. So wrestling Mike, training with Mike, it's just an absolutely incredible experience. It's taught me so much. It's really helped shape me into the wrestler I am today. I really do hope that our paths can cross in the ring at some point soon. If that means going for the British Heavyweight Championship, hey, I'm all there for it."
Kaven is currently the Undisputed British Cruiserweight Champion, a title that Oku previously held in RevPro.
