When a creator of the X-Men says somebody should be an X-man, people take notice.
Kidd Bandit, an independent pro wrestler who is as good in the ring as they are with a blade, recently posted a video to Twitter/X in which they showed off their swordsmith skills.
Bandit, who said in 2022 that they are gender fluid and prefer all pronouns, is heavily influenced by anime and is a big fan of comic books. The video in question caught the attention of famed comic book writer Gail Simone, who summed up the video in one coliquial sentence.
She needs to be an X-man. https://t.co/Gl6Iq2iCRe

When it comes to X-Men, Simone knows what of she speaks. She's written a number of X-Men comics throughout her career, including titles like Deadpool, Agent X, the main X-Men books, and more. She's also written for Batgirl, Birds of Prey, and Wonder Woman.
When Twitter/X users alerted them to Simone's words of encouragement, Bandit expressed that they were "still geeking out over it!"
I just saw. Really validates so much to be honest to be noticed by one of the all time greats
