What a fitting inductor.
"The Sinister Minister" and longtime pro wrestling manager Father James Mitchell will have the opportunity to induct one of his guys into a pro wrestling Hall Of Fame. In 2005 when James Mitchell made his first return to TNA he joined forces with former NWA World Heavyweight Champion "The Monster" Abyss. Mitchell led Abyss to a number of victories and guided him through plenty of destruction as well.
It was under Mitchell that Abyss captured the NWA World Heavyweight Title and the pair were together for years on and off before they split. Mitchell made a return to IMPACT at the 2017 Slammiversary PPV and handed Joseph Park the Abyss mask. Park took the mask and converted back into old form to dominate the match that he was in. Just one year later the manager and wrestler pairing will be reunited but this time around it is to celebrate the career of Abyss as he is set to be inducted into the IMPACT Wrestling Hall Of Fame tonight in New York City and his induction will be streamed live on IMPACT's Twitch channel.
Abyss will be the sixth individual to be inducted into the IMPACT Wrestling Hall Of Fame and doing the honors is none other than Father James Mitchell who played a pivotal role in bringing the "Abyss" character to the top of the TNA mountain.
