The Fight Pit is set to set to return to NXT.
Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa are ready to settle the score once and for all. After their war at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, which was won by Ciampa, Thatcher has become obsessed with getting revenge. On Wednesday, his obsession cost him as he was defeated by former NXT North American Champion Leon Ruff.
After the bout, Thatcher attacked Ruff, leading to Ciampa making the save. After laying out Thatcher, Ciampa said that he would see him in The Fight Pit. The match was confirmed for New Year's Evil on January 6.
NXT previously had a Fight Pit match in May with Thatcher getting the best of Riddle in Riddle's last NXT match before moving up to the main roster. The Fight Pit is a UFC style cage with a platform at the top.
You want him? You got him.
