Five of the medallions have been distributed.
So far this season, the first two Aztec Medallions were awarded to King Cuerno and Dragon Azteca Jr. There will be seven in total awarded to wrestlers in various ways and then the wrestlers will compete in a seven-way match as the medallions are placed in the Gift of the Gods Championship. The winner of the Gift of the Gods Championship match will have the right to challenge the Lucha Underground Champion.
This week, four more medallions were earned by four wrestlers. Ivelisse beat Joey Ryan in a singles match to earn her way into the championship match.
In a twist, the Lucha Underground Trios Champions were put into a triple threat match for two medallions. Son of Havoc was forcibly added to the team on the premiere of season four and this week the Mack pinned Killshot which means the Mack and Son of Havoc were awarded the medallions.
In the main event of the night after interference by Pentagon Jr, Mil Muertes pinned Brian Cage in order to secure a medallion.
