An action-packed show tonight for the blue-brand.
Tonight's SmackDown Live will be broadcasting from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. WWE.com is leaning back on forth on if the newly-cleared GM Daniel Bryan will be able to make it to the show due to the beating he received by way of the "fired" Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
"What was supposed to be a joyous night ended in misery. SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan, who was riding high off the announcement that he was cleared to return to the ring, began the night by celebrating the news with the WWE Universe. But his firing of Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn had unexpected consequences, as KO & Zayn brutalized Bryan, resulting in The “Yes!” Movement’s leader leaving the arena on a stretcher. Will Bryan address the events of last week? Will he even be able to make it to SmackDown LIVE? Find out tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network!"
The action does not stop there as there will be four matches taking place during tonight's show. Ahead of his WWE United States Title defense at WrestleMania 34, Randy Orton will team up with his opponent Bobby Roode, to take on his other opponent Jinder Mahal, and Sunil Singh. After being ransacked by the sinister lurkers of the blue-brand The Bludgeon Brothers, The New Day as a whole return to in-ring action to take on Harper & Rowan. Chad Gable will be accompanying Shelton Benjamin to the ring tonight as Benjamin goes one-on-one with the man who has a date with AJ Styles for the WWE Championship in two weeks, Shinsuke Nakamura. Also, after their hard-fought bout last week, Natalya will attempt to get a second-victory over the SmackDown Live Women's Champion Charlotte Flair.
We will have full coverage of tonight's SmackDown Live, along with a post-show podcast immediately after the show goes off of the air.
