While competitors have not been announced for the tournament, FTR (Dax Wheeler & Cash Wheeler) would like to take part in it.

When asked on Elite POV if they would like to compete in the Owen Hart Cup, Cash replied, "Hopefully. Obviously, they're playing everything close to the chest, so we have no idea, but I would love to be in the Owen in some way, shape or form. Singles, tag, handicap, just let us in. I'll go in a mask, I don't care."

Dax chimed in by saying, "Please Tony, please."

When asked what it means for AEW to honor Owen's legacy, Cash said, "About damn time."

Dax took the opportunity to heap praise on Tony Khan for making things happen with Martha Hart and the Owen Hart Foundation.

"It's cool to have the Owen thing and we're huge Owen Hart fans and huge Hart family fans. It doesn't matter how much praise gets put on him, no one will understand how important and how much love Tony Khan has for professional wrestling. We're just lucky as wrestlers and should be lucky as fans to have him. I know as an employee, I'm lucky to have him because he cares about us," said Dax.

On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, an Owen video package aired featuring home footage and NJPW highlights along with comments from AEW talent. You can view the video by clicking here.

Fightful will continue to update fans on the Owen Hart Cup as more announcements are made.
