Gabriel 'Fluffy' Iglesias Won't Enter 2023 WWE Royal Rumble, Believes He'd Do Better Than Drew Carey

Fluffy wouldn't mind being on commentary but isn't looking to follow in Drew Carey's footsteps and compete in the Royal Rumble, even though he knows he can be better than the Cleveland native.

Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias is not shy about his WWE fandom and currently possesses Snoop Dogg's custom WWE Championship. Still, on the day of the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble event, Fluffy is completely turning down the idea of competing in the 30-man titular Battle Royal.

AEW Files To Trademark 'Parade Of Champions'

Fluffy was a guest on WWE's The Bump before the significant premium live event on Saturday, January 28, and said that maybe two decades ago, he would have considered competing in a Royal Rumble Match, but not at this time. However, Fluffy does make sure to say that he thinks he would still fare better today than Drew Carey did in the 2001 WWE Royal Rumble.

"I gotta be honest with you guys, maybe 20 years ago, I'd have been like, 'Whatever you want to do,' but I hurt myself the other day getting out of my car," said Fluffy. "Honestly, Bad Bunny has impressed me the most when it comes to celebrities trying to cross into the ring. He's done exceptionally well — I could still do better than Drew Carey, even now."

Fluffy offered his services as a commentator or timekeeper if needed and also said that if he were to enter the Royal Rumble, he would like to come out to Shawn Michaels' theme song.

Bad Bunny was one of the final four men in the 2022 Royal Rumble before he was eliminated by the eventual winner, Brock Lesnar. At this link, fans can read Fightful's Inside The Royal Rumble feature, all about last year's event.
