Gail Kim says she has a lot to give behind the scenes.
Kim has made one-off returns to the ring in 2018, 2019, and 2023 since she retired from wrestling full-time in 2017. In recent years, she has focused on her work behind the scenes in TNA. In August 2024, Kim said that she agreed to team with Mickie James and boost TNA's Knockouts tag team division in 2024, but the timing didn't work out.
Speaking with Ella Jay for A Wrestling Gal, Gail Kim was asked about the nixed plans.
“It was a potential plan that did fall through. Of course, it would have been so exciting. I got super excited at the idea, but I do believe that everything happens for a reason. Mickie’s road went another way, and so it just wasn’t meant to be for that moment. That’s all," Kim said.
Kim was then asked whether she would be open to the possibility if it came up again. She noted that she would never say never, but she felt like she had a lot to give behind the scenes. Kim stated that if she did return to the ring, she would have to give it her all.
“With that kind of situation, you say never say never. But I feel like I have so much to give behind the scenes, it’s very difficult…listen, if I’m ever gonna get back in the ring, I have to give a hundred million percent because I care that much about what the fans see, my legacy, all that. So it would be a hard decision, for sure. I’m not getting any younger," Kim said.
As of this writing, there is no word on if or when Gail Kim will return to the ring.
