Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) won the NXT Tag Team Championships at NXT Vengeance Day, defeating The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods), Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince & Kit Wilson), and Andre Chase & Duke Hudson in a fatal four-way match.
The finish saw Gallus hit the double up (sliding dropkick/powerslam combo) on Woods for the victory. It looked like Chase U would secure the titles as Andre Chase had Coffey in a figure four, but Wolfgang made the save with a swanton off the top. Hudson was taken out earlier in the match with a chokeslam through the announce table by Gallus.

This marks the first reign with the NXT Tag Team Championships for Gallus. They are former NXT UK Tag Team Championships. New Day held the titles for 56 days, winning them at NXT Deadline from Pretty Deadly, and making one successful title defense.
