This marks the first reign as NJPW Strong Women's Champion for Giulia. Willow was the inauguralNJPW Strong Women's Champion, defeating Momo Kohgo and Mercedes Martinez in a one-night tournament at NJPW Strong Resurgence. She made two successfull title defeneses.
