Glacier: I Looked So Much Like Sub-Zero We Had To Make Some Changes

Glacier recalls making changes to his character in WCW.

In 1996, Glacier would make his WCW debut with a spectacular entrance that would end up costing the company a pretty penny everytime it was used. He also looked strikingly like the Moral Kombat character of Sub-Zero, which created issues.

While speaking to RJ City on the latest episode of Hey! (EW), Glacier was asked about his expensive entrance and other parts of his character, noting that he looked so much like Sub-Zero changes had to be made.

"Well, what happened was, actually, I looked so much like Sub-Zero that basically I remember Eric calling me into his office and basically said, 'we've got to make some changes. This is too similar.' So they pulled me off TV for a little bit. We went more with the blue and silver, which I've stayed with ever since. So, yeah, we made some adjustments because I basically said, well, look, Eric, The armor and everything is not from that. Our entrance is what it is,and so I think if I just make some adjustments to what I wear in the ring to wrestle, we can move forward."

Glacier now works as a backstage producer and trainer for All Elite Wrestling.

Elsewhere in the same interview, Glacier commented on global warming. You can read more about that here.
