Goldberg Says He Would Support His Son Gage Goldberg Becoming A Wrestler

Bill Goldberg comments on his son, Gage Goldberg, potentially becoming a professional wrestler.

Bill Goldberg's first love was football, but when his NFL career didn't work out as he thought it would, he became a professional wrestler and was very successful in both WCW and WWE. Since 2017, Goldberg's son, Gage, has made several appearances on WWE TV and even got physical with Bobby Lashley once.

During an interview with Ariel Helwani, Bill Goldberg was asked if he would ever let his son wrestle. Goldberg says that if it's what his son wants to do, he would support it because he believes his son can do anything.

"Yes, I’d let him do it. If he looked me in the eye and had the conviction in his soul that that is what he was going to put 120% of his attitude and life towards, to be the best, I know he can do it. He can do anything he wants. Most people can do anything they want; they just have to put their minds to it and be willing to put in the work. That’s the problem with a lot of people now, they want shit for free, and they want it to be given to them, and they want respect to be given to them. You gotta work for it. I’d support him in anything he does, short of being a crack dealer or something. If the kid loves it, then he can do it. I’m completely behind it," he said.

Gage Goldberg has said in the past that wrestling is his backup plan if football doesn't work out. He's even said he has been extended the offer to call Triple H if he ever wants to try WWE. Learn more here.

Bill Goldberg is still expected to have his final match this year. Learn more about that here.
