Grayson Waller says he would love to embarrass The New Day.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E) is one of the top stables in WWE history. Collectively, they are 11-time tag team champions on the main roster. Big E has been sidelined with a neck injury since 2022, but Woods and Kingston continue to team up. However, new SmackDown Tag Team Champions Grayson Waller and Austin Theory are not intimidated by their list of accolades.
Speaking on WWE's The Bump, Waller and Theory discussed winning the titles at WWE WrestleMania XL. They were asked about potential opponents, and The New Day came up in the conversation.
Austin Theory: [Laughs] The New Day?
Grayson Waller: New Day? Nah, I think we should, we need to change their name. It’s been too long. I think we need to start calling them the Old Day. The way they behaved at WrestleMania, they have a great entrance, they have great gear, but when they get in the ring with us, it’s a different story. I’m being honest. If they want to come find us, hey, maybe talk to Adam. Maybe find yourself with us in the draft. We’d love to fight The New Day and embarrass them because they’re one of the best tag teams of all time. How many championship reigns? All of them. They couldn’t beat us.
AT: That’s what’s going to happen. If The New Day faces us, they’ll be on the ground.
