Great Muta (Keiji Muto) will compete in a NJPW ring one last time at NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling has confirmed that Muta will team up with Toru Yano and Kazuchika Okada to face Great-O-Khan, Jeff Cobb, and Aaron Henare at the event on November 20.
Muta, a former IWGP Tag Team Champion and a four-time IWGP World Champion, is currently on his retirement tour. He appeared at the NJPW Battle Autumn event on October 26 and helped Yano defeat Great-O-Khan. The legend then challenged Great-O-Khan to a match at NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over.

Muto's retirement tour will conclude on February 21, 2023. The Great Muta's final match is scheduled for January 22.
Additionally, NJPW confirmed the finals of the tournament for the IWGP Women’s Championship for the show; Mayu Iwatani will battle KAIRI. Iwatani beat Utami Hayashishita to advance to the finals, and KAIRI defeated Jazzy Gabert.
Plus, in a six-woman tag team match, Thekla will join forces with Himeka and Mai Sakurai to face Lady C, AZM and Saya Kamitan.
