Great-O-Khan Says He Has Declined An Offer From Tony Khan In Favor Of His Invasion Of NJPW

Great-O-Khan says he has turned down an offer from Tony Khan in order to focus on NJPW.

United Empire has been a dominant stable in recent years; the group includes Will Ospreay, Great-O-Khan, Jeff Cobb, and Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher), among other members. The stable has competed for multiple companies, including NJPW, RevPro, and AEW. Aussie Open signed with AEW in May, and Great-O-Khan has claimed that it was all part of the plan.

Speaking with Tokyo Sports, Great-O-Khan commented on Aussie Open signing with AEW. When the interviewer noted that United Empire has left NJPW, Great-O-Khan stated that the duo signed with AEW on the group's orders as part of their mission to expand. Great-O-Khan then noted that he also got big offers from AEW CEO Tony Khan, but he turned it down.

"What is it? You, shut up. Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) went to AEW [as] an order to expand the Empire's area of control... As planned. There are big offers from Tony Khan, and MJF has asked me to fight for him, but I turned them down in favor of my invasion of New Japan," he said.

Great-O-Khan competed at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022; he teamed up with Jeff Cobb to face FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Roppongi Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero).
