Grizzled Young Veterans: We're Enjoying Exploring Our Options, We'll Land Somewhere When We're Ready

The Grizzled Young Veterans are enjoying the new chapter of their career as they explore their options.

The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) left WWE as their contracts expired in October. They have hit the ground running in their return to the independent scene, as they have competed for DEADLOCK Pro-Wrestling, Over The Top Wrestling, and other promotions.

Speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Gibson and Drake teased their plans for the future and emphasized that they are excited about being "immersed in the job" again. The interview noted that the duo named TNA Wrestling, NJPW, and ROH as potential options.

"Without giving too much away, all of them are on the radar. We’re literally just enjoying exploring our options," Gibson said.

The duo also addressed potentially returning to WWE, with Gibson noting that circling back there is an option. He stated that they're focused on flying on their own, and eventually, they may land somewhere once they're ready.

"If this is the end, at least we go out doing what we enjoy doing. But if it works out, we get to circle right back to where we were at before in the first place. Why don’t you just see where we fly first, and then we’ll land somewhere when we’re ready to land," Gibson said.
