Gunther remains the Ring General.
Gunther retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE Survivor Series, tapping out The Miz.
The Miz, who was looking to become a nine-time Intercontinental Champion, tried to work over the leg of the Gunther during the match, but Gunther was able to overcome, submitting Miz with a modified Boston Crab, similar to that of nine-time Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho.
During the bout, Miz used two low blows and hit the skull crushing finale, but Gunther kicked out.
