Gunther provides an update on his ability to travel ahead of WWE Bash in Berlin.
As previously announced, WWE will hold its first Premium Live Event in Germany with WWE Bash in Berlin in August 2024. WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther, a native of Austria, was widely expected to be one of the featured stars on the show. However, Krone recently reported that Gunther "is not allowed to leave the USA due to strict residency regulations. During this time, he is only allowed to perform within the United States."
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Gunther commented on the situation and noted that it should be resolved by the time WWE heads to Berlin.
“I’m applying for my green card. During that process, you can’t leave the country for a little bit. But the PLE is in August. It should be over by then," Gunther said.
Gunther competed on WWE's recent overseas tour in Germany, as he defended his title against Bronson Reed.
