Gunther comments on possibly wrestling at WWE Payback.
WWE Payback is WWE's next big premium live event, airing on September 2 on Peacock. The card is filling up, but one name who is notably absent is the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther.
Gunther is coming off a countout loss to Chad Gable and is just days away from breaking Honky Tonk Man's record for longest WWE Intercontinental Title reign.
Speaking to Eat, Sleep, Podcast, Repeat, Gunther was asked if he would be wrestling at Payback.
"We'll see. I know as much as you know about that. I know on Monday, Chad Gable is scheduled to wrestle my best man Ludwig Kaiser. That's going to be very interesting, and we go from there," he said.
As of now, Gunther is not currently scheduled to wrestle at WWE Payback.
