Peyton Manning is picking favorites.
It has been heavily documented that upcoming SummerSlam opponents Pat McAfee and Baron Corbin spent time together on the same football roster back in 2009. Although Corbin didn't go on to play in a Super Bowl with the Colts, McAfee did; under the helm of quarterback Peyton Manning.
In a new interview with Sports Illustrated, Corbin made a heavy claim that five-time NFL MVP is actually going to be rooting for Corbin at SummerSlam.
"Peyton’s work ethic is unmatched, but he is also one of the smartest players to ever play the game,” Corbin says. “His mind for sports is just unbelievable. When you got to Indy, they’d hand you one playbook, and then you’d get another with Peyton’s code words and his offensive structures. It’s really even more proof of how smart he is since he’s picking me to win."
Even though Corbin is a diehard fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, a team that plays in the same division as Manning's last team, the Denver Broncos, the former constable is making sure that everyone knows that Manning has his back at SummerSlam.
