New World Heavyweight Championship Revealed, First Champion To Be Crowned At WWE Night Of Champions

Triple H reveals the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

'The Game' first made the announcement on the April 24 episode of WWE Raw. The belt was revealed as a new world title, and a title that will assigned to the brand that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is not on, as 'The Tribal Chief' will be drafted to a specific brand in the 2023 WWE Draft.

The first champion will be crowned at the upcoming Night Of Champions premium live event, which will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 27. It is currently unknown who will fight for the new belt, or how the competitors will be determined.

The belt was announced due to Triple H noting that fans need a fighting champion on both brands. Reigns has made sporadic appearances on WWE Raw since winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship back at WWE WrestleMania 38.

The 2023 WWE Draft is set to begin on the April 28 episode of WWE SmackDown. Fightful will have full coverage of the event.
