Hikaru Shida has joined AEW.
AEW sent out a tweet on social media, announcing Hikaru Shida as the newest member of the AEW roster.
Shida wrote in her blog, "We signed an affiliation contract with the new American organization AEW, and as of today, we became part of the two organizations, the MAKAI Project and the AEW. As future activity, from November, we will relocate to the United States and work. I will continue to appear in the magical world as Tsuruhime. I will return to Japan once a month according to the schedule of the demon world. However, we are not planning to engage in professional wrestling against other groups. I am a little lonely, but I will fight in Japan until November, and will do my best in the world after that! If you ask everyone, I would like you to go to the venue."

Shida is the current OZ Academy Openweight Champion. She has wrestled for SHIMMER, AAA, and DDT in the past.
