Hiroshi Tanahashi Would Like To Collaborate With Yuke's Again

Yuke's has produced some of the most popular wrestling games ever, having a hand in producing the WWE SmackDown series. They are now helping with AEW Fight Forever.

From 2005 to 2012, Yuke's had part ownership of New Japan Pro-Wrestling and developed the NJPW: Toukon Retsuden series throughout the 90s.

Speaking as part of his Ace's HIGH series on NJPW's website, Hiroshi Tanahashi looked back on the Yuke's relationship and wanting to work with the company again.

"I’m really grateful for Yuke’s as well. Back at this press conference [Bushiroad purchasing NJPW press conference] I remember saying to their Chairman, Taniguchi-san ‘Thank you for rescuing our company. I hope I can repay that debt someday’. I’m sad we haven’t been able to do that yet, but I hope that sometime we can have a full on collaboration again, like having the old Tokon Retsuden video games," said Tanahashi.

Tanahashi is set to compete in the upcoming G1 Climax 32 tournament, which begins on July 16. Fans can check out FIghtful's preview podcast for the tournament by clicking here.
