Perhaps the greatest match in WWE history is the WeeLC match between Hornswoggle and El Torito. Taking place at Extreme Rules 2014, Hornswoggle and El Torito put on a spectacle that included 3MB and Los Matadores getting involved.
Appearing on New Day: Feel The Power, Hornswoggle reflected on WeeLC and gave his thoughts on WWE initially signing El Torito.
"When Torito came in, I was just distraught. Beyond depressed. It was also like fattest Dylan ever, like 178-pound Dylan, dipping bread in ranch dressing in catering. I wasn't being used on TV, I didn't give a damn. He gets called up to TV when I wasn't being used on TV, even more depressed. I'm pitching to work him because I think that makes sense. 'Everyone is expecting that.' Finally, I get told by talent relations that they are worried about my weight. I go on a crazy diet and end up losing 25 pounds. Road Dogg called me one week, 'You're getting your wish, it's you and Torito this week,'" he said.
Hornswoggle went on to say that he used Heath Slater's pants for the gimmick as Heath was on an overseas tour. The seamstress just cut them down to size for Hornswoggle. He also said that when he and El Torito were practicing, Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston were rooting for him to do well while everyone else seemed to want him to fail.
"We get to WeeLC and were told it needed to be gimmicky and 'haha,' but we could do whatever, and we did. Our goal that night was to play people away and we surprised everyone. At one point, Drew does a flip over the ropes, to the outside and through a table, for no reason. Everyone had the mindset of 'screw it, let's blow them away,'" he recalled.
Hornswoggle capped the story by saying they received a standing ovation once they got back to the Gorilla position.
Torito won the WeeLC match and bested Hornswoggle in the Mask vs. Hair rematch at WWE Payback.
