Ilja Dragunov comments on his upcoming third match against Carmelo Hayes.
On the October 31 episode of WWE NXT, a.k.a Halloween Havoc Night Two, Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes will meet once again, as the two will battle over the NXT Championship. This will be the third match between Hayes and Dragunov in recent months, with the first match occuring at the Great American Bash premium live event in July, and the second match taking place at the No Mercy premium live event in September.
While speaking to Nick Hausman of Haus Of Wrestling for a recent interview, Dragunov was asked about Hayes earning his way back into the championship picture. In response, Dragunov noted that the third bout will be a nightmare for Hayes, as he doesn't have plans to let go of the NXT Championship.
“It is something that doesn’t surprise me too much because you just need to look at our first two performances together, our two big fights we had together, the people were astounded. The entire audience are witnesses to moments they probably won’t forget for the rest of their life, so he’s obviously an amazing talent, but again I replied [about] this on social media, it’s going to be a nightmare he won’t forget for the rest of his life. So, we can fight again, but this championship is never gonna leave my hands.”
