Ilja Dragunov comments on potentially joining Imperium.
Ilja Dragunov and Gunther will forever be linked through their battles in NXT UK and Dragunov being the one to end Gunther's historic NXT UK Championship reign.
Gunther is now on the WWE Intercontinental Champion on WWE Raw and still running with Giovanni Vinci & Ludwig Kaiser as Imperium. Dragunov is rolling solo on NXT. However, some fans are wondering if and when Dragunov may join Gunther on the main roster and potentially be added to Imperium.
"My question to this is honestly, who would actually want this? There couldn't be more differences between Imperium and me. Those guys are very cold, very stoic, very methodical. I'm a completely unbalanced super intense mad dragon. That's the person I am. They don't fit together. Who wants to see something that is not fitting together?" Dragunov responded when asked about potentially joining Imperium by Andrew Spoors of WrestleSphere.
Dragunov is set to go for gold at NXT Great American Bash when he challenges Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship.
Meanwhile, Gunther will defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Drew McIntyre at WWE SummerSlam.
