IMPACT is handing out their year-end awards.
On December 23, IMPACT Wrestling presented their Best of 2021 (Part 1) show, which saw Scott D'Amore and Josh Matthews look back at the year that was and hand out three awards. They also revealed that an additional three awards will be presented next Thursday, December 30.
The second award up for grabs was for Knockout Match of the Year. The nominees were as follows:
- Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mickie James (Bound For Glory)
- Deonna Purrazzo vs. Thunder Rosa (Slammiversary)
- Deonna Purrazzo vs. Masha Slamovich (Knockouts Knockdown)
- Tasha Steelz vs. Jordynne Grace (BTI: May 13)
- Fire N Flava vs. Havok & Nevaeh (Hard To Kill)
The winner was revealed to be the Knockouts Championship Match between Deonna Purrazzo and Mickie James at Bound For Glory. Mickie won the match, ending Deonna's reign with the belt at 343 days. She has her rematch upcoming at Hard to Kill on January 8 in a Texas Death Match.
