IMPACT Announces Victory Road, World Title Match To Headline Show

Victory Road is back and set for next month.

On tonight’s episode of IMPACT, the promotion revealed that the Victory Road show will be back on October 3 and be streamed on the IMPACT+ streaming service. In addition, the company announced that IMPACT World Champion Eric Young will defend his title against Eddie Edwards.

The two wrestlers have shared the ring multiple times, especially in recent months. Edwards won the IMPACT World Championship back at Slammiversary earlier this year. Since then, Young has been targeting Edwards and the title with Young capturing the title on the September 1 episode of IMPACT.

The match announcements adds a wrinkle to the main event for the Bound For Glory pay-per-view taking place on October 24. IMPACT previously announced that Young will defend his title against Rich Swann at Bound For Glory.

This is just the third Victory Road show since 2014 and the most recent one took place on September 14, 2019 with Michael Elgin taking on TJP in the main event.
