IMPACT Wrestling Results for 10/28/21 Ace Austin vs Chris Sabin

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight's edition of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV!

- We open tonight's show with a recap of Bound for Glory before the newly crowned IMPACT World champion Moose comes out to the ring to address successfully cashing in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet briefcase and defeating Josh Alexander to become the new champion. Before Moose can say a word he's interrupted and rushed by Eddie Edwards who he unceremoniously dumps out of the ring before Eddie hits him with a kendo stick and Moose takes it from him before they brawl at ringside and up the ramp before being separated by security. Moose goes back to the ring and gets on the mic and talks about everything he's had to do to get where he is today and that he has no sympathy for Josh and that he has the title which makes him the greatest champion in all of professional wrestling before he's attacked and ran off by Josh. When Josh is in the ring and Moose is in the crowd Minoru Suzuki makes his way out to the ring and faces off with Josh before the two exchange forearms and they counter each other's submission attempts before brawling and the security separates them.

X-Division Championship Match
Trey Miguel (c) vs Rocky Romero

Trey and Rocky exchange wrist locks before countering a head scissors and Trey hits an arm drag into a dropkick before playing to the crowd and the camera before rocking Rocky on the apron and hitting a spinning flat liner onto the apron before locking in a submission in the ropes to the count of five. Trey then chops Rocky and goes for a springboard before Rocky knocks him off of the top and down onto the floor before Trey hits a wrecking ball dropkick into a moonsault as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Rocky in control before Trey comes back with an armbar and Rocky counters into a one armed sit-out powerbomb before they exchange strikes until Trey hits a jumping knee and a running dropkick in the corner into a diving meteora. Rocky rolls through and locks in a half crab before Trey kicks his way free and rocks Rocky with a Superman punch before Rocky hits the Forever Clothesline and Trey hits a brainbuster before going up top and hitting another meteora for the pin and the win.

Winner: Trey Miguel retains his X-Division title by defeating Rocky Romero via pinfall.

- After the match Trey is attacked and laid out by Steve Maclin.

- We get a backstage interview with the Digital Media champion Jordynne Grace before she and Rachel Ellering are interrupted by Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans as we go to commercial.

- Back from the break Maclin cuts a promo to the camera before Scott shows up and says that he'll give him an opportunity to get a title shot next week.

- Scott walks five feet to the right before he's rushed by Eddie and Zack before he runs off to see Josh about to assault the referee before Scott tells him that he can make things right by making a six man for next week between Eddie, Matt, and Josh versus Moose and two partners. Scott tells Josh that he needs to keep his emotions in check and needs to stay focused and take care of business and do it for himself, the company, and most importantly his family.

Tasha Steelz (w/ Savannah Evans) vs Rachel Ellering (w/ Jordynne Grace)

Rachel immediately hits a running uppercut and a jumping splash in the corner into a boot before hitting a running senton for two before Tasha snaps her neck across the top rope and takes Rachel down with a headlock before sending Rachel out of the ring with a code breaker. Rachel comes back with clotheslines into a suplex for two before pinning Tasha with a back slide for the win.

Winner: Rachel Ellering defeats Tasha Steelz via pinfall.

- We get a backstage promo by W.Morrissey before he's interrupted by Moose who says that he told W he'd turn on him and he screwed him before he could screw Moose before asking him to team up with him next week with the offer to face him for the IMPACT World title.

- We get an interview with the new Knockouts Tag Team champions The Iinspiration in their dressing room.

Joe Doering (w/ Violent By Design (Eric Young & Deaner)) vs Heath (w/ Rhino)

Joe backs Heath into the corner before Heath lays into Joe with strikes before Joe hits a running cross body for two before choking Heath in the corner before turning him inside out with a shoulder block and a running powerslam for two. Heath lays into Joe with forearms and a leg lariat that drops Joe before Deaner trips Heath and Rhino attacks him before they get into the ring and brawl before Heath and Joe end up outside and Eric distracts Rhino before taking out Rhino with a discus clothesline. The referee then calls for the bell when Eric lays out Heath for the disqualification.

Winner: Heath defeats Joe Doering via disqualification.

- We get backstage promo by the IMPACT World Tag Team champions The Good Brothers before FinJuice show up and challenge them for the belts before Karl and Doc say that they have to earn a shot as we go to commercial.

- We get a backstage interview with The Demon before he's interrupted by Johnny Swinger before he can say a word before Johnny yells at The Demon and Decay show up and the three scare Johnny off.

- Newly crowned Knockouts champion Mickie James comes out to the ring to address her defeating Deonna Purrazzo for the title at Bound for Glory before she's interrupted by The Influence's Madison Rayne and Kaleb. Madison and Mickie then face off before Mickie slaps Kaleb and he and Madison leave.

Ace Austin (w/ Madman Fulton) vs Chris Sabin

Ace and Chris lock up before exchanging wrist locks and Chris drops Ace with a shoulder block before they exchange standing switches and Chris gets two off of a crucifix before getting two off of a roll up. Chris gets a sunset flip for two before hitting a dragon screw and a dropkick to the knee before stretching Ace and Ace tears at his nose before dropping Chris throat first across the top rope and choking him in the ropes. Ace then suplexes Chris for two before giving Chris a paper cut with a playing card before hitting a jumping leg drop for two as we go to commercial.

We come back from the break to Ace in control before Chris comes back with jabs and back elbows into a back drop before hitting a running boot in the corner and a a fisherman's suplex for two before rocking Ace with a spinning back elbow and Ace hits a drop toe hold. Chris hits a drop toe hold of his own before they drop each other with strikes and Chris hits a tornado DDT for two before Chris goes up top and Ace distracts the referee before Fulton attacks Chris from ringside and Ace pins Chris with The Fold for the pin and the win.

Winner: Ace Austin defeats Chris Sabin via pinfall.
