The Iron Survivor Challenge matches are returning.
On the October 31 episode of WWE NXT, the broadcast team announced that the Iron Survivor Challenges will return at NXT Deadline 2023 on December 9. Vic Joseph noted that WWE Hall of Famers will pick the superstars who will have the chance to quality for the match.

Later in the show, the broadcast team confirmed that qualifying matches for the bouts will begin on the November 7 episode of WWE NXT.
The Iron Survivor Challenge match debuted at NXT Deadline 2022. It features five competitors, and it has a 25-minite time limit. The match begins with two competitors, and a new participant enters every five minutes. To win the match, a competitor must earn the most points via pinfall, submission, or disqualification. The winner of the bout will earn a shot at the NXT Championship or the NXT Women's Championship.
At NXT Deadline 2022, Grayson Waller and Roxanne Perez won the Men's and Women's Iron Survivor Challenge matches, respectively.
