The WWE Speed Women's Championship Tournament is underway.
The WWE Speed Women’s Championship Tournament began on the September 4th episode of WWE Speed, where Lyra Valkyria and IYO SKY clashed in a hard-fought bout.
The former champions battled back and forth. Valkyria gained the upper hand and rocked SKY with a kick. SKY rallied with a springboard dropkick. She hit double knees in the corner for a two-count. Valkyria evaded a moonsault, but SKY rolled her up for a two-count. Valkyria got a two-count on a pin attempt before the two competitors traded counters. In the end, SKY caught Valkyria and stacked her up with a pin for the win.

With the win, SKY advanced to the next round. She will face the winner of the match between Naomi and Blair Davenport. On the other side of the bracket, Elektra Lopez will face Kairi Sane, and Piper Niven will clash with Candice LeRae.
