We have crowned the first-ever NXT UK Tag Team Champions.
The NXT UK Tag Team Championships were first unveiled at the NXT UK TV tapings in Plymouth, England in October. The brand's tag team division continued to grow until it was time to crown champions and those titles were earned today at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool. The 'Grizzled Young Veterans' James Drake and Zack Gibson clashed with Tyler Bate and Trent Seven inside the Empress Ballroom in what was a homecoming of sorts of Trent and Tyler.

Unfortunately for the big strong boys, their homecoming was cancelled due to the teamwork of the former PROGRESS Tag Team Champions Drake and Gibson. Seven and Bate had the crowd backing them the entire way and there was not a single cheer in the building for James Drake and Zack Gibson and the final sequences of the match saw Trent attempt to dive on both Drake and Gibson who were on the outside but Seven was caught with a dropkick. He then was tossed into the ring and finished off by the 'Grizzled Young Veterans' and now the first-ever NXT UK Tag Team Champions have been crowned.
