Good-bye "Big Hog".
Tonight on SmackDown Live a contract signing was held to make the WWE Championship match for this year's SummerSlam PPV official. The SmackDown Live GM Paige brought the WWE Champion AJ Styles out to the ring so he could sign his name on the dotted line and find out who he will be sharing the ring with on August 19th.
As Paige was set to make the announcement, a familiar face made his way out to the ring and that familiar face was the man who holds three victories over AJ Styles, James Ellsworth. Ellsworth made his way down the entrance ramp and stated that he was looking to getting a fourth victory over AJ Styles and to also take the WWE Championship away from AJ.
Paige then shut Ellsworth down and after weeks of back and forth between the two, Paige decided that it was time to send Ellsworth packing so she "fired" James Ellsworth and had security escort him out of the building.
Since his return to WWE at the 'Money In The Bank' PPV James Ellsworth has been working without a contract on a appearance-to-appearance basis.
In the midst of all of this AJ Styles did find out who he will be defending the WWE Championship against at SummerSlam and to read up on who it is, click here.
