JBL Isn't Sure Of What Plans Are For WWE Raw On Netflix Appearance, Hopes To Work With Michael Cole

JBL comments on his upcoming appearance on WWE Raw on Netflix.

John Bradshaw Layfield, throughout his many evolutions, has been a part of WWE Raw history since 1996. In that time, WWE has gone from being one of the hottest products on cable television to embracing the world of streaming television as WWE Monday Night Raw is now live every week on Netflix.

JBL was announced as appearing on the January 20, 2025 episode of WWE Raw. Now, amid his world tour and appearances at TNA, GCW, and elsewhere, he is getting the chance to go back home to WWE.

On the latest episode of the Something to Wrestle podcast, JBL reflected on getting the invite to appear on the third episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix and expressed his desire to once again get the chance to work with Michael Cole.

"I'm excited. They gave me a call and I said, 'Hey, I'm thrilled to be coming in.' Pat McAfee is out, for the national championship game. So I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing. I kind of got an idea a little bit from Creative, and it sounds all fun. I'm excited to go back. When you're gone for a while, you just kind of enjoy being back in the arena. Seeing the seeing the guys that you know, seeing the new guys. They treat you unbelievably well. It's amazing how well. A lot of people sent out those notes that we got at Christmas, 'Thank you for being a legend and building this business.' They just do cool things. The way they handle legends is just fantastic. I'm excited to go back, and I hope I get to work with Michael Cole. I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing, but I hope I get to work with Michael."

WWE has already announced that Wade Barrett will be filling in for Pat McAfee. Learn more about that here.

Elsewhere on the podcast, Bradshaw opened up about the working relationship between WWE and TNA. Read more here.
