Jeff Jarett gives his thoughts on the upcoming AEW Women's World Title match between "Timeless" Toni Storm and Mariah May at AEW All In on August 25.
The upcoming match between Mariah May and Toni Storm at Wembley Stadium could be the most heated AEW Women's World Title match in recent years, if not ever. After months of being her protégé, Mariah May betrayed Toni Storm, bloodying her with the heel of a shoe, and now, she looks to take everything away from her on August 25. For her part, Storm says she is ready to die if need be and promised that Mariah will regret the day that she met the woman who loved her.
Jeff Jarrett commented on this blood feud during the most recent episode of his My World Podcast. He complimented the work both women put in during this rivalry and says that he thinks it has the chance to become a legendary story in wrestling history.
“This is a homecoming for Mariah May, so there’s a lot of emotion that goes into this. What a culmination of ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm, I think back to a year ago where that whole character/stable was and then over the last 12 months, I think that has the chance to become a legendary kind of [story], like the flag in the ground. This is the payoff, but we’ll see. Mariah May, a homecoming of sorts, I think that adds a whole nother' element to it.
