Nobody contacted Jeff Jarrett about IMPACT 1000, according to the former world champion.
On September 9, IMPACT Wrestling held IMPACT 1000, which celebrated 1000 episodes of the company's weekly TV show. As part of the celebration, a number of noteworthy names were brought in for the show. However, Jeff Jarrett, who founded TNA/IMPACT with his father, Jerry Jarrett, did not make an appearance. Jarrett was recently asked about his absence and whether anyone reached out to him.
“Isn’t that ironic? No, not a peep. Not a word [laughs]," Jarrett said on My World with Jeff Jarrett.
Jarrett also noted that he wasn’t invited to IMPACT's 20th anniversary at Slammiversary 2022, which was held in Nashville. After he pointed out that the location wasn't far from his house, Conrad Thompson asked him whether not being invited hurt his feelings. Jarrett stated that it doesn't, as he understands the reasoning. However, Jarrett noted that he doesn't know whether he agrees.
“I get it. I totally understand. No, it doesn’t not hurt my feelings. It really doesn’t because I understand. I’m not sure that I agree with their line of thinking. But anyway, I’ve said it over and over, I think there’s two distinct brands. I think the IMPACT brand really became, as we said, IMPACT LOL. I think the TNA brand, not for everybody, but there was more success correlated with that. So bring back folks associated with that era. I think there’s an upside to that in so many ways. But I get it. It’s their call," Jarrett said.
During his time with TNA/IMPACT, Jarrett won the world title six times. He also won the TNA King of the Mountain Championship, and he won the King of the Mountain three times. Jarrett was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2015. He left the company in 2017. Following his departure, he returned to AAA before he had had two stints in WWE. Jarrett signed with AEW and debuted in November 2022.
