The differences in the presentation of both promotions have been well documented by both fans and wrestlers. In a recent interview with AEW's Unrestricted podcast, Pepperman talked about her fascination with the amount of storytelling that AEW puts into matches.

“The structure of the show is very different from how we would structure a show at WWE and I’ve been fascinated by that. The amount of storytelling in a match and the amount of pay-per-view matches that we have on AEW continues to amaze me. I’m also struck by [the fact] that there’s a freeness that really sparks creativity here. I think that’s been a really cool thing. Also, I feel like in AEW, everyone really gets to feel heard creatively and that’s really important.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Pepperman stated that she immediately wanted to start working with Tony Khan after meeting him for the first time. Learn more about those comments here.
