"The King" is happy to see Hogan back.
To open WWE's 'Crown Jewel' show at the 'King Saud University Stadium' in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was the re-instated WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan. This was Hogan's first on-screen appearance for the company in three years after being on the outs because of the racially charged comments he was recorded making that were released to the public.
There have been mixed reactions from wrestling fans and wrestlers themselves about Hulk Hogan's return and the latest to publicly voice their opinion about Hogan was WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler. Lawler and the host of his 'Dinner With The King' podcast Glenn Moore talked about the Chris Jericho cruise and then they transitioned over to WWE 'Crown Jewel'. As mentioned, Hulk Hogan opened the show and Lawler spoke about Hogan for the first of many Crown Jewel topics and stated that it was a "shame" what happened to Hogan over the past few years and further explained why he feels that way:
“I was really glad to see that… part of that phase of Hulk Hogan’s life come full circle and be brought back into the WWE and restored into the Hall Of Fame and all that sort of stuff because it was just a shame that all happened to begin with." Lawler expressed. "I’ve known Terry since the beginning of his career and the things that were said about him were just not true. He’s a good guy, has always been a good guy. Somebody just said on an interview that was on the radio - Billy Madison, on the Billy Madison Show down in San Antonio. They asked me something about who do you think has been the most important guy to wrestling over the years and I said Hulk Hogan without a doubt. I think he was the face of this business for a long, long time and still could be. So I was glad to see Hulk come back, and looks like he’ll be doing some stuff at WrestleMania and be a part of the WWE family once again."
